Helen was kindly invited by Clemson University to present her lecture A Conversation on Conservation to their students in Genoa. 

The lecture explores the process and significance of safeguarding Edinburgh's architectural heritage through thoughtful, sensitive design. 

Drawing on a series of key projects by Helen Lucas Architects, Helen discusses various approaches to conservation within the city's historic New Town. These projects demonstrate how carefully considered interventions can protect the area's distinctive Georgian character while integrating modern adaptations, showcasing how design can celebrate both preservation and innovation. 

A great time, followed by a lot of thoughtful and interesting conservation, made for a fansatic trip.
