Jason joined Helen Lucas Architects in 2023, drawn by the opportunity to exercise thoughtful design practices across all work stages, from initial intent to detailed design, material resolution and construction on site.

After graduating from the Glasgow School of Art in 2015, and later receiving his Professional Diploma in 2021, Jason worked across projects ranging from masterplanning for Edinburgh Airport to the renovation and sensitive upgrade of the University of Dundee’s B-listed Tower Building.

At HLA, Jason brings a love of researching traditional construction techniques and testing ideas through sketching. His appreciation for well-crafted materials supports the delivery of a wide range of projects, from commercial refurbishments to rural new builds, with an approach that treads lightly on the earth while celebrating careful, considered design.
