Eilidh McGuigan

Part II Architectural Assistant
BSc(Hons) MArch
Eilidh joined Helen Lucas Architects in 2025, drawn to the practice’s use of natural building materials and emphasis on taking a thoughtful, people-centred approach to design.
Having graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2025, Eilidh has maintained a personal and academic interest in Scottish landscapes, historical patterns of settlement and vernacular construction methods. Her master’s thesis explored the use of local, natural materials such as clay, timber and thatch found within the Cairngorm National Park.
Eilidh values the use of storytelling within architecture and seeks to connect people with local landscapes and histories. She enjoys integrating crafted, light-touch interventions into existing and new build projects which bring people closer to nature.
